Position Summary

As the Turf & Utility Sales Professional, you play a vital role in providing expertise and support to dealership personnel and customers, particularly in the sale of commercial and residential mowing equipment and small agricultural machinery. Job Responsibilities

  • Represent the dealership in the sale of residential lawn, compact utility tractors, skid loaders, utility vehicles, and commercial mowing equipment, within a defined sales area.
  • Cultivate, develop, and maintain customer accounts across residential and commercial segments in the following product categories listed above.
  • Adhere to and master a defined sales process, ensuring consistency and efficiency in customer interactions.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on residential lawn, compact utility tractors, skid loaders, utility vehicles, and commercial mowing equipment, while staying informed about competitive marketing and product activities.
  • Effectively translate product knowledge into customer benefits and develop familiarity with the used equipment market.
  • Document and report all customer activities and trends in the assigned territory to sales management.
  • Understand and present various financing options available for equipment purchases.
  • Organize product demonstrations, clinics, and participate in local trade shows and dealership promotional events.
  • Maintain dealership vehicle and other assigned equipment in optimal condition.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and collaborate effectively with other departments and dealership locations.
  • Foster teamwork, maintain a positive attitude, and champion the concept of presenting a unified front to customers.
  • Support and assist in other departments as assigned.
  • Fulfill any other responsibilities and duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of commercial mowing products and the landscape industry. 
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills. 
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours as required. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in database software, online parts books, and standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably 1+ years of equipment sales experience. 
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
